This project involved pouring 11 concrete intersections totaling over 53,000 square feet of 7” PCC paving. The intersections were poured with integral color and then sandblasted to give an aged look. The difficult part of the project was the architectural saw-cutting which required us to saw cut the intersection into 3’ by 3’ squares in a radius. These joints were then sealed with Dow Corning silicone sealant to add both to the architectural appeal and the structural integrity of the joints. Finally after construction was complete the entire concrete surface was sealed with a penetrating sealer to bring out the color of the concrete and protect from the weather and traffic.
